- 1 cup of white jasmine rice
- 1/4 stick of salted butter
- big pinch of salt (be generous)
instructions
- Follow the water to rice ratio instructions on the back minus a 1/4 of a cup (if instructions say 1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water, then use 1 3/4 cups of water).
- Combine water, salt and butter in a pot (1 cup of rice, small pot, 2 cups, medium pot) and turn on high.
- Once at a rapid boil, add the rice, turn the burner down to the lowest setting, cover, and set timer for what instructions say on the back (typically 15-20 minutes).
- If your pot is starting to boil out or hiss at you, just move the pot such that it’s not completely on the burner. It’s a game but it’s worth it.
- For the best results, let the rice sit for a few minutes off the heat before serving.
