carnitas

ingredients

• 5 lb pork shoulder
• 1 onion, chopped
• 3 cloves of garlic, minced
• juice from 2 medium oranges
• 2 tbsp of paprika
• 1.5 tbsp of brown sugar
• 1 tbsp of cumin
• 2 tsp of oregano
• 2 heavy pinches of salt

instructions

1. Coat the pork in the spices and add it to the slow cooker.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the slow cooker. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
3. Crisp on an oiled cast iron prior to serving.
